MARBLE COFFEE TABLES

Marble coffee tables can add elegance and style to just about any room. Nothing is more ornamental, enduring and downright beautiful as marble. This material has adorned homes for generations; actually it has been a huge part of interior and exterior dcor for centuries. There is little wonder why so many people choose to bring this element into their homes. My parents were two such people. They found a beautiful set of Italian marble coffee tables when traveling overseas. They did not purchase the items while they were on the vacation and they soon regretted the decision.

The problem with the marble coffee tables was their massive size and weight. They hated the idea of having to import them to the United States. Of course that is exactly what they wound up doing. They couldnt get in contact with the original shop that housed the show stopping marble coffee tables so they did the next best thing. They shopped on the Internet for their objects of desire and they were not disappointed.

My mother found marble coffee tables that were very similar but not exactly like the ones they found on their trip. She figured that these items were close enough. They had both gotten over the idea of having such large marble coffee tables shipped overseas and ordered the set. I was stunned when I saw the magnificent furniture. I had no idea that they would be so striking. It was as if they held a presence with them that made the room feel anchored and safe.

The feeling that I associate with the marble coffee tables was one of security and warmth. I cant really explain the sensation in actual words but it is akin to hearing the crackling flames in a warm fireplace after coming in from the cold. I almost wished that they had bought the marble coffee tables when I was a child. Ironically, my mother never really got over the first set of tables they saw in Italy. She adores the ones that they bought over the Internet but she really loved the originals that she cant find. My mother still dreams of the original marble coffee tables. My parents and I learned a great lesson through this experience. They will never hesitate to make purchases overseas. I have learned that your heart tells you when you fall in love even when it is with furniture.
